Dance Making
Classically trained, with a BFA from SUNY Purchase and The London Contemporary School of Dance, Willow is a performing dancer and improviser based in VT since 2000.
Willow's diverse background includes extensive experience in ballet, Graham, Cunningham, Limon, Release technique, Afro-Haition, belly dance, contact improvisation, and the performance of improvisation. She has danced professionally with Pauline Jennings, Polly Motley, Paul Besaw, and Avi Waring. She has danced for Hannah Dennison since 2012 in The Quarry Project, Threads and Thresholds, and Dear Pina.
In 2006, she co-choreographed the Green Mountain Nutcracker with Christine Harris of Moving Light Dance. The Green Mountain Nutcracker continues to be an annual Barre Opera House tradition.
Willow currently performs and leads workshops for adults and kids in Improvisation. Here is a link to a sharing of work performed with Alana Rancourt Phinney in 2023 at the Capital City Grange in Montpelier, VT.
